Pandora Radio

Between studying for exams and wrapping gifts this holiday season, I got a little tired of my iTunes library. Where better to turn than to Pandora?

If you haven't listened to Pandora before, it's amazing! I have to listen to music when I study, and I have a really bad habit of constantly changing songs, so Pandora is perfect for me. It has also helped me discover great new songs by artists that I love.

Here are my top Pandora stations:
George Strait Radio
Garth Brooks Radio
Water (by Brad Paisley) Radio
Billy Joel Radio
Grease Radio
Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons Radio
Summertime (by Kenny Chesney) Radio
Shout (by The Isley Brothers) Radio
I Love Beach Music (by The Embers) Radio
and my absolute favorite, the station that reads my mind:
Fishin' In The Dark Radio

Do you use Pandora? What are your favorite stations?

Traditional Christmas Recipes!

Here are some recipes for things we make each Christmas!

Christmas Morning Breakfast:
Caramel-Nut Pull-Apart Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons firmly packet brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup of butter, melted
3 (10-ounce) cans refrigerated cinnamon-sugar biscuits

To Make:
Combine brown sugar and walnuts in a small bowl. Stir in butter. Spoon half of sugar mixture in bottom of a greased Bundt pan.  Cut each biscuit in half. Place half of biscuit halves alternately over sugar mixture. Spoon remaining sugar mixture over biscuits in pan; top with remaining biscuits.  Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until browned. Turn out onto a serving platter immediately, spooning on sauce left in pan over bread.

Sausage and Cheese Clusters
Ingredients:
1 pound of sausage
2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
1 and 1/2 cups of Bisquick
1/2 cup of milk

To Make:
Brown sausage then drain.  Add cheese, Bisquick, then milk. Mix together and spoon onto parchment papered cookie sheets. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350.

Christmas Cookies:
Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
1 small bag (11 oz) of Milk Chocolate Chips
1 small bag (11 oz) of Butterscotch Chips
1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter

To Make:
Melt together Chocolate Chips and Butterscotch chips. Once melted and mixed, add peanut butter. Once mixed, add salted peanuts (if desired). Spoon onto parchment papered cookie sheet. Refrigerate until firm.

Enjoy!

I'm Looking At A White Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, filled with friends and family! I had a wonderful day with the fam and I received many wonderful gifts and many Alabama gifts.  Yesterday also proved that PB and I know each other too well.  We both got each other Dixieland Delight: A Football Season on the Road in the SEC!

Last night, we even got snow! I was a little bummed that some of my friends in North Carolina got a White Christmas, but it started snowing about eight and it stuck! Tomorrow I'll post some of our traditional Christmas recipes!

How were y'alls Christmases? Did everyone get what they wanted?

Christmas Music!

As I'm getting ready for this evening's church service and festivities, here's what I'll be listening to:

All I Want For Christmas Is You - Vince Vance and The Valiants

White Christmas - Bing Crosby

Christmas Canon - Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Mele Kalikimaka - Bing Crosby

Christmas in Killarney - Bing Crosby

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

Merry Christmas Eve y'all!
