Yeah, I'm alive and well

School started yesterday and I'm already up to my neck in homework! It's so crazy! I PROMISE that I will do a double Music Monday next week & I'll get my outfits of the day up this weekend! I clicked on my google reader and saw that I had 150+ items to read, and I will get through those on Friday night and Saturday, because I do love to read y'all's posts! But until then, have a great week y'all!

Goodbye, Summer!

Dear Summer 2010,

You were amazing. Seriously. You made me forget all my Latin charts, French verb conjugations, Geometry formulas and all things History related. And I couldn't be happier. Sure, I will be complaining next weekend when I'm up to my eyes in homework and re-learning everything, but tonight I am thankful for the relaxation and happiness you have given me. From Virginia to South Carolina to West Virginia to Denver, you have been fantastic. I must say, I'm very sad to see you go, but the thought of Pumpkin Spice Latte's and SEC Football excites me too. But don't get too upset, because I am thoroughly excited by the thought of next year.

Peace out, Summer 2010. You were pretty chill.

See you soon*!

xoxo,

An Award!

A Southern Belle's Guide To Life & Style has tagged me for an award! Thanks so much - I adore your blog and I have really enjoyed your college-themed game day outfit posts! Now, on to the questions!

1. What's your signature color?
I don't have a signature color so to speak, even though I adore pink, but I am known for always wearing bright colors.  Says a close friend of mine, "I don't think I've ever seen you wear black."

2.What's your most embarrassing moment?
This past spring, my Operation Smile club organized a kickball tournament and I was selected to stand in front of the entire middle school (350 students plus the faculty) and read a "Top 10 Things You Need to Know About The Tournament" list. I didn't say the number six, just seven twice. And EVERYONE had to remind me of it for the rest of the day. Even my bio teacher.

3.Would you ever get anything besides your ears pierced?
Never. It's not even a question.

4. Are you a social butterfly or a homebody?
Most definitely a social butterfly. I love to meet new people and go to parties!

5. Are you done having babies, or do you want more?
Well, I'm only fifteen and a half, so I don't want children for awhile. But I definitely want to have children.

6. Do you remain loyal to your hairstylist or do you try every new one in town?
Loyal to my hairstylist. Jennifer did my Grandma's hair, she does PM's hair and she has done my hair faithfully for two years now. Before that, I had Stella and Anthony at a different beauty parlor.

7. How many times have you moved in your life?
None. But that might change soon, so keep your fingers crossed!

8. If you could plan a vacation with just you and your love, where would it be?
Tahiti

And now, I tag the last five gals to comment on my blog:

The Lilly P Endless Summer Sale Update!

So I got my 1st package on Wednesday evening with these four beauties:

I ended up returning the Simple Skirt and the Jarvey Skort, as I didn't like the fit, and exchanged the Worth Shift for a smaller size.  Then Thursday night, I ordered this:

I can't wait until I get both of my dresses!

Did y'all like everything you got?

The Lilly P Endless Summer Sale

What a day, what a day yesterday was! Here is a simple timeline to show y'all how it went:
6:24 am: Wake up, check phone, curse self for running cross-country.
6:36 am: Get out of bed, get dressed, get in car.
6:40-6:58 am: Drive to school, without talking and feeling very sleepy.
7:00-7:15 am: Coach tells random story about hunting for antique pots and pans in a 16-wheeler the night before.
7:15-8:00 am: Tempoo Runnnn.  It actually was one of the best runs I've ever had in my life.
8:14 am: Drive out of school, realize that in less than two weeks, I will be sitting in Chapel at this time, instead of driving home to go to sleep. Ew.
8:20 am: Go to Chick-fil-A, feel bad for the people who work there who have to say 'My Pleasure' every five seconds.
8:25 am: Feel really bored, wish that the Lilly sale start time was a little more epic, like at 5 am or something.
9:30 am: Start watching Kortney & Khloe take Miami.
9:50 am: Decide that my bed is really comfy. Put music on, fall asleep.
9:59 am: Wake up, realize that the Lilly Pulitzer Sale starts in one minute and that my entire life is before me.
10:00 am: Open up Dresses and Bottoms in two tabs, add everything I like into a cart.
10:07 am: Realize that PM is not going to pay for $658.00 of Lilly Pulitzer, no matter how much I beg.
10:14 am: Realize that I have four pairs of Carolina Blue Callahan shorts and they're regular price.
10:48 am: Still trying to delete the shorts out of my tote. Resort to playing 'Dog Days Are Over' by Florence & The Machine.
11:15 am: Decide that I really do want the 5" Callahan Seersucker shorts. Bad decision, Royar, bad decision.
11:30 am: Resort to singing 'Dog Days Are Over' extremely loudly. Ignore glares from Tiller. (I'm a High Soprano!)
12:00 pm: Finally get my cart finalized.
12:03 pm: Call PM, tell her that I'm doing a preppy dance to the Lilly Gods to get them to just finish my order right as I get kicked off the website and out of line
12:05 pm: Consume one blue frost Gatorade in approximately two minutes
12:15 pm: Realize that Full House is on. Disregard quickly.
12:24 pm: Enter payment information, pray for divine intervention
12:25 pm: Error Message
Royar = Unhappy

12:30 pm: Error Message
12:34 pm: Confirm payment
12:37 pm: Confirmation Email
12:40 pm: Vow to have a Lilly Wedding, Baby Shower and Funeral

Luckily, my dog, Tiller, kept me company and took naps in between my rants to him about the internet and singing to him. Don't judge me. All in all, I got:

Callahan Shorts
Jarvey Skort
Simple Skirt
Worth Shift
What did y'all get? How long did y'all have to wait?

xoxo,

Royar

PS This morning, I got a shipment confirmation and as of 7:31 am this morning, it was out for delivery! Yay!

To Whom It May Concern

Dear CliffsNotes & Sparknotes,

Before I launch into my attack upon your fine websites that often help me during my long hours of studying for exams, let me say how much y'all have helped me thus far in my career as a professional student.  SparkNotes, although Sassy Gay Friend helped me with Shakespeare more than you could ever imagine, your No Fear Shakespeare section is to be commended. But the reason that you are set far, far apart is the SparkLife section.  This is the best thing ever invented while trying to study for Latin exams that really don't require a computer with which to study.  Sure, I really don't need to know How To Trick Everyone Into Thinking You Had A Hardcore Summer or Notes You Do NOT Want to Get Caught Passing In Class or even The Summertime Schedule of a Girl Who's Just Been Dumped. CliffsNotes, you slide a close second because some of your website isn't free. But the books are fantabulous, bequeathed from PB. Anyways, I need to get to my point.  For Modern European History, I have to read, quite possibly the most boring book in the world.  The Lion In Winter by James Goldman. Look, CliffNotes & Sparknotes, I know no one has ever been able to finish the book, ergo making it impossible to write a helpful book on it, but I'm sure you can do something about it. I know that it might even be listed as a teens cause of death by boredom. But really, help a girl out. I would much rather be reading We're Just Like You, Only Prettier by Celia Rivenbark.  So, in conclusion, write a help book and ship it to me before August 30th.

Thanks,

xoxo,

Royar

Man, I love College

We took PB back to college yesterday. He will be a junior this year at PC; it seems like just yesterday we just dropped him off at football camp his freshman year. My brother was recruited by a few colleges and played football his freshman year at PC.  He played football for five years and was starting center and captain of the team his Senior year. Oh how I miss those football games...
