This, That and The Tory Burch Incident of 2012

I'm kicking it old school with the bullet-point-esque post today y'all. I'm all over the place and I'm not even sorry.

New Backpack for 2012. It's love. And it'll look even better with a big fat monogram on the front, helped out by a design from one on these two pictures

The ONE item scored from the Lilly sale craziness of the past 72 hours..after one trip to the store, eight frantic phone calls and the credit card receipt to prove it, I was finally the owner of the only thing I wanted from the sale!

RueLaLa yesterday was another story. I was super excited to maybe snatch up an Elsa or perhaps a cute dress? Nope. I got out of US History at 11, power walked to the computer lab only to remember that my Visa was sitting in my car. in the Junior parking lot. a ten minute walk away. I still scrolled through and admired the nice prices. I'll catch ya next time RueLaLa!

In other bizarre news, I mean lets be serious, yesterday was a struggle of a Thursday. I mean I had Diet Coke and Nutella on an English Muffin for breakfast and Peanut Butter and Granola for lunch. As I was getting ready to walk out the door, the medallion on my Tory Burch Reva FALLS OFF. It just up and falls off. I wish I could make this up people. So I stare at it on the floor for a good five minutes, then realize that due to my foolish wish of having eighty degree weather year round, I have no other black flats/shoes to remotely match my outfit. I then start to panic even more. I get the Elmer's glue out and frantically try to just stick it back on. Realizing this is futile as it continues to slip off as I walk down the driveway to get to my car, I walk back to my house to plan B. Might I add, at this point, plan B was going back to bed. After a few futile attempts with a paper clip, I finally resort to plan C and rubberband the medallion around my shoe.  After smelling weird scents on the drive to school, realizing it was the glue on my $200 black flat, and saying many prayers to just make it stick for one day, I parked my car and took the rubberband off and through either divine intervention or my sheer ingenuity, it stuck for the rest of the day.

But seriously, I'm getting too old for this stuff. I prefer to keep my heart rate extremely low at early hours (and all) of the day.

Happy Friday y'all!

xoxo,

Royar

  1. Oh my word I would have cried. Are you going to contact Tory Burch about it or just chalk it up as wear and tear?

  4. Eeek! I would contact Tory. As for the monogram I think a traditional script or curly monogram would look wonderful but I am also starting to warm up to circle monograms.
