Lilly Mirror DIY

Continuing in my locker decoration, I decided to make a cute mirror for my locker! Since I had both of my old Lilly planners laying around, I decided to use the monthly prints to collage it!

I painted the mirror before, incase any spots were too small to cover, then put down a coat of modge podge, then moved them around and glued over as I went.

I then went around and did one more layer of modge podge, and waited for it to dry. After it was done, I took a knife and cut around the edges to make it clean and I was done! This was a super easy craft, and I loved the result! I can't wait to hang it in my locker next week!

Thought For The Week

I'll admit, I have a very hard time being 'in the moment'. One of my goals this year is to practice being in the moment, and not worrying about the past or the future. I'm really good about being in the moment during my yoga classes, but an hour every few weeks just isn't enough to stop and unwind.

A Winner & Friday Musings!

Congrats to entry #106, Amanda! Many thanks to all who entered! Today I'm running around, finishing up a few last minute things for school, such as picking my locker for senior year!

So far, I have my letters painted, jar glittered, mirror modge-podged, and photos collaged! I still can't believe that I'm finally picking out my locker and get to go all out for decorating it! 

My senior pictures went super well on Wednesday, and I'm super excited to show y'all my pictures! The formal poses with the drape were kind of awkward, I'm not going to lie, but my casuals were super fun as I wore one of my favorite Anthropologie dresses and my cowboy boots! I'm hoping to have some more taken on the beach this fall.

Work It Out: Skirtin' Around

When your norts collection resembles something like this....

this is not my picture, but my collection is comparable.

you start to look for other options. And then you stumble on to the beauty that is,

the Lululemon running skirt.

Y'all. I'm obsessed with this. It's pink. It's striped. It has ruffles.

And the Senioritis begins!

I'm only half kidding.

This week has been filled with all things senior year. And I don't know how I feel about it.

I parked in our senior lot for our varsity athlete meeting, finally looked at the top shelf in the bookstore for english books, discussed speech topics with my senior speech advisor, and today, I'll take my senior portraits.

I've been spray tanned (which I'm a little obsessed with) to hide my lovely lifeguard strap lines, had my hair and eyebrows done, makeup applied and teeth whitened within an inch of my life.

It's a little sad that these will be the last real school pictures I'll ever take.  It's going to feel weird finally wearing the black drape I've looked at for so long in my yearbooks and in the halls of my school. 

I'm still not sure when it will finally hit me that after nine years at my beloved school, this is the beginning of the end. Maybe in between Senior Luncheon and decorating my locker, or dancing in our pep rally at Homecoming, or donut Thursdays.

But somehow, I still know...

Glitter Mason Jar DIY

I've been meaning to do something with two Mason Jar's I picked up on clearance at Michael's about six months ago, so inspired by THIS on Pinterest, I decided to glitter it!

Before...

After wrapping painters tape and painting with modge podge, I got to do the fun part, putting the glitter on!

I let it dry for a day or two and spray painted with a clear adhesive.

The finished product!

This was super easy to do, and I'm going to put it in my locker to hold pens and pencils!
