Crazy Week!

Howdy ya'll!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile - it has been the craziest two weeks of my life! I have had six, yes six, lacrosse games in the past two weeks! Last night, I had my 10th grade meeting with the director of the upper school.  I got my PSAT scores back (woo!) and just finished signing up for classes tonight! It will be another six class year for me - no break until junior year! A little known fact about me is that I am absolutely, positively OBSESSESED with Latin. Yes, sometimes the homework completely ruins my life, but I am in love with the language.  Therefore, I take an extra class, unlike most of my classmates. And since exams are about three weeks away, I am having a ton of tests and quizzes and papers.  But on an exciting note, PB will be home in a week! It's scary to believe that he will be a junior, but nonetheless I am excited to have him home. It is also his 20th birthday in about two weeks, any gift ideas?

Is chivalry really dead?

Every morning at PHS, we have chapel. During chapel, every freshman gives a speech (I gave mine in October!). This morning, I was running late, so I had to sit on the steps of the stage and tried to hunt for an open seat. Normally this doesn't bother me, except that THREE ROWS of pubescent teenage boys were blinking in front of me. I was wearing a dress, and I heard mutters of "a girl...be a gentleman...give up your seat." Did anything happen? No. I did find a seat, near the eighth grade section, but that is not my point.  The fact that these, and most other boys in general are not being taught simple things such as giving up their seat for a woman, or even opening the door for a lady. I don't expect a red carpet to be rolled out in front of me, but the amount of doors that slam shut in my face on a daily basis are shocking. Any thoughts?
