Finished Locker!

Here's my finished locker for senior year! I'm so excited about how it turned out - especially the glittered mason jar, which I'm going to eventually fill it up with extra pens or spare change - I can't decide. It's really just sitting pretty right now, and my Lilly mirror has gotten so many compliments!

Happy Monday!

Lilly Mirror DIY

Continuing in my locker decoration, I decided to make a cute mirror for my locker! Since I had both of my old Lilly planners laying around, I decided to use the monthly prints to collage it!

I painted the mirror before, incase any spots were too small to cover, then put down a coat of modge podge, then moved them around and glued over as I went.
In progress!

I then went around and did one more layer of modge podge, and waited for it to dry. After it was done, I took a knife and cut around the edges to make it clean and I was done! This was a super easy craft, and I loved the result! I can't wait to hang it in my locker next week!

Glitter Mason Jar DIY

I've been meaning to do something with two Mason Jar's I picked up on clearance at Michael's about six months ago, so inspired by THIS on Pinterest, I decided to glitter it!

Before...
After wrapping painters tape and painting with modge podge, I got to do the fun part, putting the glitter on!
I let it dry for a day or two and spray painted with a clear adhesive.
The finished product!

This was super easy to do, and I'm going to put it in my locker to hold pens and pencils!

Happy Monday!

I've Caught The Crafting Bug

It's Official. I've caught the crafting bug.

Remember that little picture frame I bought at Thanksgiving, that I claimed I would turn around right away? Yeah, well I finally finished that about two weekends ago, and finally gave Ensley her Christmas surprise gift!

Before:

After:
of course I forgot to take a picture of the finished project with orange polka-dot ribbon and the monogram filled in. bear with me here.

I'm now trying my hand at my first canvas!

It's not quote finished yet, but it's so close! I love this quote by Voltaire, and my new best friend, tracing paper, seriously go get some, is helping as I have atrocious handwriting. I will always be in awe of people who can freehand things!

Have you crafted at all lately?

Chair Redux & My First Pinterest Craft!

After my Grandmother passed away, I inherited her gorgeous wing-backed chair for my room. There were many redeeming qualities, such as the classic style, gorgeous wooden legs and solid frame, however there was just one problem. It was velveteen. navy. blue. Not the perfect tone for my beachy, carolina blue, white, and yellow room.  Never fear, my Mum and I spent many an hour coming through potential fabrics to find just the perfect fabric that would compliment my room.  We eventually found it and covered the chair in a style found from Sarah's House. (Quick sidenote, Tommy, come be my life coach and design my house for me, kthanks.)

I sadly don't have a before picture, but here is the after:
Not too bad, eh? I predict many cozy winter nights spent in this chair, curled up with a good book!

In other exciting news in my life, I completed my first craft/idea/insert-your-own-definition-here from Pinterest!
I got this GENIUS headband storage idea from Hopsy! It's so easy to do and quite inexpensive! I am quite the headband as well as bow fan, so using a flour jar purchased at the beloved Target for approximately $7.97, I now have an easily accessible storage solution, and it looks pretty on my dresser!

Have you done anything from Pinterest lately? Have a wonderful weekend y'all!

DIY Holiday Link Up!

Today, I'm linking up with Hopsy for a DIY Holiday Gift! While I don't have a specific thing to make per say, I did visit Hobby Lobby for the first time last weekend! Y'all. To say that I was obsessed with HL is an understatement - my Mama had to about drag me out of the store! This weekend almost everything Christmas themed was 50% off and I got so much adorable stuff, as well as looked for things to plan out some more Pinterest crafts!

How cute is this little board?

I got it thinking I would style after this and it would be perfect to hang on my bedroom door!

I also picked this up at a bargain store on Friday to repaint and restore - it was too cute not to pass up!

I think that between these two projects and making some ornaments for friends I'll be very busy crafting in the next few weeks!

Oh, How Pinteresting & A Winner!

I went to Michael's last week, quite a dangerous feat for me, and wandered around looking at their acrylic paints and such because I really want to make a few of these next items my weekend projects!

For some reason the embedding won't work but all of these pictures are in my "Getting Crafty" board on Pinterest!

I have always admired these in various boutiques and I can't wait to see how mine turns out!

I am always counting down the days to something and this would be the perfect reminder!

I love this! I would totes do it in Texas state colors!

There are variations of these two quotes and I can't wait to test these!

This is just too adorable not to try and you can just change the city!

This would be super cute for a guest bedroom!

I also LOVE Katie's DIY Nautical Flags and I am definitely going to be trying that as well!

Also, last night I used Random.org to choose my winner!

Congrats to SSC from Eating the City of Oaks for winning my Just Madras giveaway! Many thanks to all who entered!

Oh, How Pinteresting!

I'm going to start linking up for Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesdays! I'm obsessed with Pinterest - it's something that I wish I had invented! I used to have a huge 'inspiration' folder on my desktop and never knew what exactly to do or how to perfectly categorize them and now my need for organization can calm down!

Just a preface, it took me forty-five minutes to write this post, I kept getting distracted!

I have seen so many DIY crafts that I've been inspired to decorate my room and bathroom a bit more and try my hand at crafting!

I love this idea! It would even look cute with pinecones and glitter for the holidays!

I am totally going to do this in my room and bathroom sometime soon! It could also work with mason jars!

I'm going to have to go antiquing soon to find a frame like this so I can make my own pinboard!

Do you Pinterest? Let me know so I can follow you!
