Liebster Award

This week I was lucky enough to be nominated not once for the Liebster award, but twice! Many thanks to Sarah at Too Much is Never Enough and Hannah at The Pink and Green Prep for nominating me!

What the Liebster Award is: "Liebster" is a German word meaning kind, sweet, or generous.

Once nominated by another blogger, the blogger has to answer a set of questions asked to them by the person who nominated them, and then pass it on to other blogs they think would deserve the award if they chose to do so!

List 11 facts about yourself, answer the 11 questions asked to you, write your own 11 questions, and nominate 11 other up and coming blogs.

Also in the post, you should thank whoever nominated you and attach a link of their blog, out of courtesy.

It is a great way to acknowledge other awesome blogs and bloggers and to get to know fellow bloggers better!

Eleven Facts About Me

1. I gave up Diet Coke for New Years, but my new favorite zero calorie caffeine fix is Coke Zero with Diet Cherry from Sonic.

2. I eat whole wheat pancakes with an egg over easy for breakfast every morning.

3. I finished the last season of Sex and the City this week, such a good show!

4. Five months from yesterday I'll be starting college, so scary to think about!

5. I hate using white out in my planner!

6. I'm genuinely excited to get new glasses in a few weeks, and I've been looking at Warby Parker frames!

7. I have a strong dislike for wearing heels, but this spring I'm going to try to start wearing wedges.

8. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day

9. I really like making fruit smoothies

10. I love going to sleep early, but it doesn't happen as much as I would like to!

11. Duck Dynasty is probably my favorite show on TV right now.

Saturday Smorgasbord

Jennifer from A Southern Belle's Guide tagged me in a post!

It's the usual twelve facts, twelve questions and tag twelve bloggers!

So, here are twelve random facts!

1. I have one stamp in my passport, from China!

2. I will put two more stamps in it this year, France and India.

3. I can freehand the outline of Texas.

4. Instead of writing my name on assignments, I simply write my monogram.

5. Although I write with my right hand and as a whole, my body is "right" oriented, I can only brush my teeth with my left hand.

6. I have been published in both the New York Times and our local Virginian Newspaper.

7. I really like headbands.

8. I really only drink Diet Coke, Apple Juice, and Water.

9. I've never watched an episode of Jersey Shore.

10. I have a lot of shoes, but I really only like to wear my Jacks or Rainbows.
11. I go back and forth on whether I like Fro-Yo.

12. If I could have any job in the world, I would like to be a philanthropist and travel the world.

1. What is your favorite book?

2. If you could be on a Reality Show would you? Which one?

I don't know! I think I would love to be on The Bachelor or something like Most Eligible Dallas or Real Housewives

3. What color best fits your personality?

Navy. A perfect mix, bold, classic.

4. What piece of jewelry do you wear every day?

Pearl Studs, La Mer Wrap Watch, Signet Ring, Pearl Bracelet.

5. What is your favorite shade of nail polish?

Anything by Essie, specifically Clambake!

6. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life it would be?

Queso and Chips

7. What is your perfect Saturday like?

Sleep in a little, long run, brunch with parents, go to Target and Michaels, get a Sonic and a Cupcakes, come home and relax, go out to dinner with friends and then go out somewhere.

8. What do you eat for breakfast?

It changes every day! I've eaten chex mix, fruit, nutella and wheat bread, and an apple this week!

9. Who inspires you?

My parents, my grandparents, the legacy left behind by my ancestors, as well as other bloggers.

10. Favorite piece of clothing/accessory you own?

This is so hard. I would have to say my Dan Post's, Jack Rogers, Lilly Patchwork Dress, and Grandmother's Pearls.

11. Favorite smell?

Clean cotton or Magnolias.

12. What are 3 things you look for in a man?

Educated, Loves his Family, Chivalrous.

Rabbit Rabbit and Roll Tide!

Rabbit Rabbit Y'all!

I can't believe it's October already! The crazy Virginia weather wouldn't let you know it, since it was nearly ninety degrees yesterday at our varsity soccer game!

I have so much going on this month! My homecoming, going to visit PB, my French exchange student will be here, my final PSAT, re-applying for camp, hopefully a 5K and finishing my MTW application!

I've definitely got my work cut out for me this month!

An Award!

A Southern Belle's Guide To Life & Style has tagged me for an award! Thanks so much - I adore your blog and I have really enjoyed your college-themed game day outfit posts! Now, on to the questions!

1. What's your signature color? 

I don't have a signature color so to speak, even though I adore pink, but I am known for always wearing bright colors.  Says a close friend of mine, "I don't think I've ever seen you wear black."

2.What's your most embarrassing moment?

This past spring, my Operation Smile club organized a kickball tournament and I was selected to stand in front of the entire middle school (350 students plus the faculty) and read a "Top 10 Things You Need to Know About The Tournament" list. I didn't say the number six, just seven twice. And EVERYONE had to remind me of it for the rest of the day. Even my bio teacher.

3.Would you ever get anything besides your ears pierced?

Never. It's not even a question.

4. Are you a social butterfly or a homebody?

Most definitely a social butterfly. I love to meet new people and go to parties!

5. Are you done having babies, or do you want more?

Well, I'm only fifteen and a half, so I don't want children for awhile. But I definitely want to have children. 

6. Do you remain loyal to your hairstylist or do you try every new one in town?

Loyal to my hairstylist. Jennifer did my Grandma's hair, she does PM's hair and she has done my hair faithfully for two years now. Before that, I had Stella and Anthony at a different beauty parlor.

7. How many times have you moved in your life?

None. But that might change soon, so keep your fingers crossed!

8. If you could plan a vacation with just you and your love, where would it be?

Tahiti
