I've been a very bad blogger this month - but really, where has the month gone? Between interning, working, and trying to put a dent in my summer reading list I feel like the last few weeks have flown by!

New Lilly Planner

Y'all know how obsessed I am with my planner, and it's time to reorder! The new Lilly prints came out a few days ago and I'm stuck between two patterns!

I love this print and it's super pretty!

but.....I love elephants and I have nothing in this print and I'm going to Alabama....

I need to decide pretty soon so I can preorder, and if you order through Lilly it's free shipping!

The Planner

Rabbit, Rabbit y'all!

I get a lot of questions about how I organize my planner, and I don't really have a system, but I like to use different colors so everything stays separate. I love to decorate it whenever I'm bored in class or whenever I have something big coming up!

I do think the Lilly Planners are a little awkward in their timing of August to December, but it is nice to be able to pencil things in far in advance!

The stickers are the best for decorating everything and I highly recommend getting the extra packs!

At the beginning of the week (much like my room and sleep schedule), my planner is really neat and organized but by the end as you can see below it gets really messy, but it is fun to be able to look back at!

 

Dixieland Monograms is currently taking pre-orders for planners! There are going to be six prints available - I'm thinking Tusk In Sun! Many thanks to Jessica over at Preppin' Postgrad for the tip!

Lilly P: Resort 2013

There were a select few things that I truly liked for Resort 2013. The prints are great, but the items, not so much.

Look, Lilly. I love you, but I'm just not going to wear a jumpsuit. Just give me some shifts, and let's call it a day.

Lilly Summer Sale!

The greatest day of the summer is upon us! Today at 8 a.m. the Lilly sale will begin!

Lilly Mirror DIY

Continuing in my locker decoration, I decided to make a cute mirror for my locker! Since I had both of my old Lilly planners laying around, I decided to use the monthly prints to collage it!

I painted the mirror before, incase any spots were too small to cover, then put down a coat of modge podge, then moved them around and glued over as I went.

I then went around and did one more layer of modge podge, and waited for it to dry. After it was done, I took a knife and cut around the edges to make it clean and I was done! This was a super easy craft, and I loved the result! I can't wait to hang it in my locker next week!

Lilly Pulitzer New Arrivals

It's no secret that I love my Lilly, y'all. But the thought of winter's arrival and me having to pack my Lilly shifts and Jacks away for five or six months is cause to whip out the smelling salts. Last week I popped into my local Lilly shop and was pleasantly surprised to find three or four things that I could wear now and in the spring. Sadly, none made the trip home with me, but they will soon!

The Pipster Dress - How cute would this be with tights and boots?

The Ellie Top - Perfect as a tunic or with jeans now, and with white jeans and shorts in the summer!

The Elsa Top - Oh my goodness y'all. I'm literally obsessed with this shirt. I'm already envisioning exactly how many times and ways I will wear this. I might have to buy all four prints. Not even sorry.

Spring Arrivals - Lilly Pulitzer

Let me be honest, I am not that impressed with Lilly's spring line. Their dresses are cute, but not "$178 for a cotton shift" cute. I also feel that their prints have become less distinguishable in a crowd. Don't get me wrong, I still love Lilly Pulitzer dearly, but I feel that the brand as a whole has diminished over the past year.

I love the print, the dress in general...but what is UP with the neckline?

One of my favorite dresses.

Definitely purchasing a Franco dress this year, and I love this print.
