What Royar Read: Mid-Summer

This summer has kind of been the summer of terrible books. While I still have a stack 10 high on my nightstand waiting for me to try, the ones thus far have been quite subpar.

Wasn't terrible, but I really had to push myself through this one. The ending was a little cliche and the diction got on my nerves towards the middle end.

The only Nicholas Sparks book I hadn't read, so now I've read them all!

I've started reading Brad Thor this summer and I really like the Scot Harvath series. They're quick reads and great beach books!

One of the more disappointing books I've read. Had great promise but a terrible ending

Kind of a weird book but I just really liked it for some reason and it was the fastest book I've read all summer.

LOVED this! Will definitely follow Jim Tressel a little more this season

What Royar Read: April

Loved this book! Really easy to read with great advice.

Loved this book so much. A really weird plot, but it says so much about humanity and about people as a whole.

Meh. It was interesting, but it was kind of boring.

I got this while I was in India and finally read it. It was interesting.

I liked the first few chapters but it got old and repetitive pretty quickly. Glad I read it though.

Just reading this to finish the series, and they're really good beach books!

Can't even talk about this book. I cried at the end of it, which has never happened before with a book. By far the best book I've ever read.

A bunch of editorials in a book. I enjoyed it.

Not that great. Kind of skimmed it.

What Royar Read: January

There's Something About St. Tropez - Still can't decide wether I liked it or not.

The Rapture of Canaan - Super easy read, interesting story line.

Into The Wild - Skimmed most of it, but interesting.

The Best Advice I Ever Got - LOVE! Definitely going to buy this in hardcover and take it with me to college

Night Road - Predictable story line, but good.

Hamlet - No. Just no.

SEAL! - This has been in my stack of books from speech research that I never got around to reading, and I enjoyed it.

Out of all the books that I read in December, The Double Bind was by far my favorite. It took me over a month to read it, but it was so worth it in the end! It's a mystery, has a tie-in with The Great Gatsby, and is so amazing.

Southern Charm by Tinsley Mortimer

I absolutely loved this book! It's a charming storyline, and Mortimer is a great writer!

Where We Belong by Emily Giffen

Not my favorite book by her, but good. The ending was terrible.

Beach Music by Pat Conroy

LOVE. There are no words for this book. It made me laugh and cry, just like Conroy's novels always do. 

College Girl by Patricia Weitz

Unhooked by Laura Stepp

A great psychology book!

The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks

A great Nicky Sparks.

Rivals by Lauren Kunze

SO good! Love this series!
