What are your favorite magazines to get and give?

Jack Wills

A few weeks ago, I received an email from the lovely Liv at Jack Wills, inviting me to check out their line. I. Am. Obsessed. Y'all.

"Jack Wills creates fabulously British goods for the university crowd. Taking our influence from Britain's rich history and culture, juxtaposed with a heavy dose of the hedonistic college lifestyle, we create authentic and relevant clothing for today."

It's the right mix of preppy, WASPy, British clothing to make me feel like I'm walking past Big Ben on my way to the Tube instead of being stuck in Virginia.  It's almost like the British version of Anthropologie!

Here are my picks!

Have y'all ever heard of Jack Wills?

What Royar Read: November

Y'all. I never. get. to. read. anymore. And it's making me so sad. I'm 29 books behind on my yearly reading goal and you bet your little beaver I'm going to spend my entire Christmas break reading, trying to make it to 150 books.

Here are the whopping five books I read this month (and three of them for school):
Yay Alternate History! This book hurt my head.

Woof. Hurt my head a little too much and the ending creeped me out.

A classic, and it wasn't half bad!

LOVE! 10/5. Such a great book!

Not bad, but not as good as I thought it was going to be.

What have you read lately?

Fur Vests

When I was in West Virginia for Thanksgiving, I picked up a super cute fur vest!

Here are a few of my inspirations for wearing it!

Do you have a fur vest? How would you style it?

Thanksgiving & Black Friday Recap

Normally for Thanksgiving, my family and I go to Dallas to visit my Mum's sister and her three kids. This year, we decided to mix it up and go to West Virginia for a little impromptu family reunion with my Daddy's family.  It was so good to see my presh Grandparent's whom I dearly love.  My Grandmother is basically my idol and I had so much fun following her around this weekend and helping her out.  I even got to look at her wedding photos and listen to her tell family stories! I may or may not have gotten weepy over a few of them.

But it was super fun to see the brother, stir up trouble with spend the weekend with Ensley, and visit with my little cousins!

BFFL's

On Black Friday, Ensley and I set out to Gabe's, an outlet store based in mostly the Northeast. Y'all. If you live near one, you have to go.  I nabbed a super cute picture frame for $1 that was featured on my DIY Post on Tuesday.  I also got pants from Urban Outfitters for $8 AND for the biggest steal of the weekend I got these cords in a cranberry shade FOR TEN DOLLARS. Y'all. I wish I could make this stuff up. They were twenty, but I found a small hole under the pocket that my tailor can repair when I get them hemmed and showed it to the lady at checkout and she took off ten dollars! I was only hoping for five! I normally hate bargaining and would normally never do something like that, but now I think I'll try it more often!

I also got this super cute faux-fur vest at T.J. Maxx!

I normally never go into places like T.J. Maxx but last friday I realized how much great stuff they have! I found Jonathan Adler products, gorgeous china patterns and discontinued Lilly perfume!

It was quite the lucky Black Friday for me! I also made the inaugural trip to Hobby Lobby!

Did y'all have any good Black Friday finds?

Hey, It's Ok

Firstly, Rabbit Rabbit y'all! I can't believe it's the last month of 2011!

Today I'm linking up with Amber for It's Ok Thursdays!

It's Ok..

..to be more concerned about crafting gifts for your friends and family than about crafting a paper about Huck Finn

..to want to wear Cowboy Boots, J Brand Cords, a J. Crew Simple Tee, Fur Vest and Tortoise Headband for the rest of winter

..to scream Miranda Lambert's Nobody's Fool and All Kinds of Kinds at the top of your lungs on the way to school

..to keep making more and more decorative lists of the things you need to do instead of actually doing them

..to not know anything for the term paper that's due next Tuesday

..to keep reading All The King's Men and still have no idea what's going on

..to be utterly sad and mopey because there's no Hobby Lobby within ten miles...yet there's one in the town where your Grandparents live in West Virginia

..to want to decorate your locker for the holidays

..to be planning your Birthday Week celebration that's still two weeks away

What are you saying 'Hey, it's ok' to today?

xoxo,
